A choice to make,
a hand to take,
a friend to make,
a heart to break.
Our future's shrouded in darkness, fears
And everyone around us cheers
for the mistakes we make
and the rules we break
and the sheer enormity of the unknown world.
We're trapped in this world of sickness, pain,
waiting to be free again
But until that time
we must resign
to living through the days alone.
A choice to make,
a hand to take,
a friend to make,
a heart to break.
Let me wrap my arms around you, love.
Let me hold you close to me.
And let us never break apart, love -
let me bind your heart to me.
And in this sick reality
where life is death and hate runs free
Make a choice, take my hand,
be my friend because you can.
So let me wrap my arms around you, love.
Let me hold you close to me.
And let us never break apart, my love -
let me bind your heart to me.
Bind your heart to me.
I'll be yours forever
Just bind yourself to me.
And we'll depart this world together.

Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.

And the Chronicles passage is brilliant. One of my favorites: Matthew 6:25-34.

Once you can accept the universe as matter expanding into nothing that is something, wearing stripes with plaid becomes easy.
"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
I love that Scripture too, such good stuff!
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
This is gonna sound a bit strange -maybe- but I really needed to hear that right now, I've been really worried the past few days... so remembering that verse brings a bit of peace.

And then I'd remember...God IS good, darnit. God is goodness in its entirety.
I think I'm a little less stressed now.

As long as you are completely honest about it, cause no matter where we are on our walk with God He wants us to be totally honest with Him. He wants us to share the very deepest parts of our hearts with Him, yes of course He already knows what's inside but He loves it when we openly share it with Him.
So, yes it's okay to feel that way, most Christians/people come to that point in life. (not suggested though XD) but it's how we are, if we don't stay in His will, draw close to Him night and day then we are a bit more tempted to slip between the cracks. The cool thing is, even when we feel a million miles away from God, He is still right beside us, no matter what He's got our hand and He wont' let go.
You said it right, God is goodness, God is love, God is faithfulness, God is peace, God is joy and God's hope. God is!

What is it that draws you pathetic forms to live this life in false reality?
